Accesibility is not just to be carefully for the dissabled people, to make eassy the access, to be right with the law, to have a special treatment, or a sustancial profit against the competitors.

Accesibility is more than this. It is the way to improve our lives

Responsible tourism, just in Europe is more than 50 million of dissabled people, and all Europe has to make eassier their lives.

Almost the squares, hermitages, natural and national parks, and tourist places are not avoid using for dissabled people.

When we are speaking about accesiblity, this idea is not just who use the wheel chairs, we should speak about blinded, visually dissabled, deafed, crippled, and some more deficiencies. And not just this, we should speak also about old people with deficiencies, and children aswell.

For the tourism in the 21st century is very important to care about dissabled people. They must travel easily in the public transports, to live in a hotel, without hindrance, they need special lift for not use the stairs, specials ramps and tables in restaurants…

The accessibility is making environment easy; it has to be useful to everyone because all the humans have rights and opportunities to use everything. That’s the goal, that’s the accessibility, gives to everybody the ability to have access to use whatever they need.

In tourism need to be easily the usability to the handicapped people because they have to be free and they need that the hotels, transports and heritages have facilities for makes to be easy the stay time, they have to build step by step the improvements, to make effective the world to everybody.

GOOD PRACTICES IN ACCOMODATION

Nowadays, most hotels do not have adapted rooms or only a few number of them. Despite the fact that some hotels have adapted rooms, sometimes they don’t have them in good conditions (e.g. they needs shower with a step, or wider doors, …). In addition, the common areas also do not accomplish the accessibility (e.g. bathrooms not adapted). Adapted transport and trained staff for people with disabilities are also needed.

If the hotels has services like Spa, pool, gym, bar, parking… They have to be also adapted for this people.

We recommend some good practices in the following sentences.

Rooms should include:

· Lowered hanging rail

· Lowered spy-hole in door

· Alarm pull cord in bedroom area

· Lowered light switches

· Smoking accessible room available

Bathroom facilities should include:

· Fully accessible roll-in shower

· Alarm pull cord in shower area

· Handrail

· Lowered sink and mirror

Spa and swimming pool should include:

· Trained monitors

· Pool lift

· Sloped entries

· Transfer walls

Common areas should include:

· Widers parking slots.

· Add ramps in all the Hotel

· Induction loop at Reception

· Fully accessible public areas

· All bedroom floors accessible by elevators

· Two-level counter

GOOD PRACTICES IN LEISURE

GOOD PRACTICES IN LEISURE
Nowadays not everybody can enjoy the leisure options. Disables people have some limitations like blindness, reduced mobility, deafness or any others, for example in the cinema blindness people need a person who can explain them the scenes , disabled people also have problems to accede to mall centres and have a normal life
So we must adapt our leisure areas for these people.
Next we are going to explain some good practices to help them:

-Visitors in wheelchairs have the right to enter in all leisure places using any of the public entrances. The entrances should be accessible, without steps. Entrances should have ramps .

-Visitors in all Botanic Gardens for example, are encouraged to touch and smell the plants, which have been selected for fragrant or tactile qualities and are all non-toxic.
To help disabled visitors plants are grown in elevated beds at just the right height for persons in wheelchairs. Furthermore a continuous metal railing offers guidance, and Braille labels identify the specimens.

-The Museums provides learning opportunities for visitors of all ages, experienced educators work with both children and adults at all developmental and cognitive levels. All these education programs should be adapted for students with special needs.

Good practice in Restaurants

When people with any kind of disability want to go to a restaurant usually they have some problems to use its services.
At presents some restaurants are working in adapting their facilities. They must think about differents aspects: Menu, ingredients, table distribution...

We suggest the following good practices:

-The menu should be available in Braille and large print for not completely blind people.
-The menu should be available in audio systems.
-The menu should list all the ingredients used in the dishes so that allergic people know if they can eat them.
-The majority of tables should not be fixed to the floor and higt enough so that wheelchair users can have good accessibility.

Accessibility good practices

When people with disabilities want to travel to a destination, they have to think before if they will be able to find accessible transport. So most part of the time they can’t choose where to travel because there are just a few accessible destinations.

The European Union is at present preparing a so-called public service contract Regulation, a central aim of which is to improve the quality of public transport, and in this way make the means of transport accessible for everyone. We want to give some proposals:

Firstly, an adapted Taxi, it should have a space to transport an electric wheelchair, because when a tourist with disabilities comes to an airport, he/she needs means of transport to go to the hotel.

Secondly, we propose to adapt all the public buses with platforms to help people to get on the bus.

Finally we think that the spaces between the train and the platform must be eliminated, so that people can’t fall in it.
