DIRECTIVA 2001/85/CE, relativa a las disposiciones especiales aplicables a los vehículos utilizados para el transporte de viajeros con más de ocho plazas además del asiento del conductor y por la que se modifican las Directivas 70/156/CE y 97/27/CE.

It ensures the safety of passengers, checking the accessibility of motor vehicles covered by the European community. This accessibility will go directly to adapt the vehicles or the infrastructure for access to wheelchair users.

RESOLUCION ResAP (2001) 1, sobre la introducción de los principios de diseño universal en los currículos de todas las actividades relacionadas con el entorno de la construcción.

RESOLUCION ResAP (2007) 3, “Achieving full participation through Universal Design” (Alcanzar la plena participación a través del Diseño Universal).

In this document, the Universal Design is a strategy whose objective is to design and composition of different environments, products, services and information technology and communication are accessible, understandable and can be used by everyone, the most independent and natural as possible. Therefore, Universal Design is a concept that extends beyond the mere accessibility of buildings for persons with disabilities, and should become an integrated part in policy and program planning at all levels of society.
